Silver inlaid brass Mamluk Inkwell

An inkwell made of brass inlaid and engraved with silver, inspired by the Mamluk era during the reign of Sultan Muhammad bin Qalawun.
The inkwell consists of a hexagonal body with six hexagonal compartments, each bearing the seal of the Sultan, surrounded by geometric motifs.

The Lid:
The lid features a band of leaf motifs, with a hexagonal star at the top, inside of which are winged beasts. In the center, there is the seal of Sultan Qalawun.
Inside the lid, there is a hexagonal star with links of decorative motifs and muqarnas, along with the seal of the Sultan.
Inside the body:

Interior of the body:

there are two openings with covers: one for ink and one for nibs. One cover is decorated with two standing winged beasts, while the other features the Sultan’s seal.
Inside the smaller compartment, there is a hexagonal shape, with each side containing a band of winged birds, and at the bottom, the inscription reads: “His Victory’s Glory.”
The larger compartment is inscribed with praise for the Sultan and consists of three sides adorned with decorations.
