Silver inlaid brass Mamluk Kaba Key

The Kaba key is made of brass inlaid and engraved with silver. It is a single piece, inspired by the Mamluk era of Sultan Baybars.

The handle is decorated with leaf and geometric motifs and also features grains of peace.

The body is inscribed with the following Quranic verse: “In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory.” It also includes the declaration “There is no god but Allah” and the name of the Prophet Muhammad. Additionally, the body is inscribed with: “This was made by the noble and sacred lord, by the command of our master, Sultan Baybars al-Mu’ayyad.”
