A candlestick inspired by the Mamluk era of Sultan Qalawun, a disciple of Baybars. The structure of the candlestick is crafted from brass inlaid and engraved with silver. It is composed of a candle socket and a body.
Product Specification
The Body: The body consists of three concentric circles, featuring a winged eagle at the center, surrounded by the heads of predatory animals. Between these motifs are bands inscribed with Mamluk-style Arabic calligraphy. Additionally, a geometric design resembling the letter “Z” is repeated in six directions, flanked by two birds—one above and the other below—surrounded by leaf and geometric motifs.
The Candlestick Plate: The candlestick plate is adorned with a decorative band of leaf motifs and circular elements within which a winged eagle is positioned, accompanied by three inscribed bands.
The Candle Socket: The candle socket consists of three concentric circles decorated with leaf motifs resembling cactus flowers. At the top, three circles contain the Sultan’s seal.
