Silver inlaid brass Mamluk Inkwell

An inkwell made of brass inlaid and engraved with silver inspired by the Mamluk era and dating back to the reign of Sultan Qalawun. It consists of a hexagonal body, a lid, and a lock.
Product Specification
The Body:
The body is adorned with Kufic script, from which the faces of kings and princes hang. Winged birds and barley motifs are also present. The cover is decorated with a band of leaf motifs, and on its face, there is a hexagonal star containing the titles of Sultan Al-Nasir.
The Lid:
Both are decorated with leaf motifs.
Inside the lid, there is a Kufic inscription on the cover, surrounded by geometric motifs and links with the faces of kings and princes. Winged birds are depicted at the top and bottom.
Interior of the body:
contains two openings with covers: one for ink and one for nibs. The interior features a Kufic script and winged birds, and at the bottom, there is a Kufic script with the head of a beast.
The Bottom:
The bottom contains a circle with interlocking decorative motifs.
