Silver inlaid brass Mamluk Inkwell

An inkwell inspired by the Mamluk era, belonging to Sultan Qalawun, made of brass inlaid and engraved with silver. It consists of a body, a lid and a lock.

The Body:
The body features a Mamluk script band with the name of Sultan Qalawun, surrounded by geometric motifs. Additionally, there is a balcony inside, decorated with leaf motifs.

The Lid:
The lid is adorned with a band of winged predatory birds. Above it, there is a strip of leaf motifs, along with a band of Arabic script, and above it is a circle containing leaf motifs too. The lid and lock are decorated with winged birds.

The interior of the Body:
Inside the cover, there is a balcony with leaf motifs, and in the center, the seal of Sultan.
There are two openings for ink, and in the center, a triangular-shaped opening for quills, each side decorated with leaf motifs. Four seals of Sultan Qalawun and a Mamluk script band surround it. The other two openings contain circles at the bottom, adorned with flowers.

The Bottom:
The bottom consists of a circle, connected to the outside by a swirling star, with leaf motifs inside the star.
